"IT IS NOT AGAINST FUTURE CONSPIRACIES OF EVIL MEN WHICH HAVE TO GUARD OURSELVES...
BUT THE WEAKNESSES AND FAULTS IN OUR OWN SOCIAL ORDER,IN OUR OWN WAYS OF LIVING....
AGAINST WHICH WE HAVE TO BE ON CONTINUAL GUARD......"

"FATAL WORTH" BY: DJ MINDCONTROL TASTE NATER AND KURENT FLOW!
MPLS TO SAN FRANCISCO! AND THE BAY AREA!
NEW TRACK!! NEW TRACK!!!
YO WHATS UP FELLOW ARTISTS! MONDAY SEPT.20 2010 ATTENTION: ALL INQUIRING MINDS THERE IS A NEW TRACK RELEASE FOR TODAY. THIS TRACK WAS SENT TO TASTE NATER OF "STEMS OF WISDOM" WHOM I HAVE HAD THE GREAT PLEASURE OF WORKING WITH ON 4 TRACKS NOW....AND AN UPCOMING E.P. IS RUMORED AS WELL. STAY TUNED..........
Me: Cool... So tell us who you are, where you rep, and what you rep...
G: my name is Truth Now, I'm from the greater NYC area.
Me: What crew do you rep?
G: Fam!LL, a New York think tank and associated artists.
Me: Who's all in your crew?
G: BS founded it and was like Charles Xavier getting his team all ridiculous.
Albert Rhymestein, the freestyle legend in the making.
Grey Matter, the Beat Boxer and mgmt.
Steve Fox, the poet from Memphis.
Brooklyn's own Warren Britt.
The MC Faceman for that hardcore.
QV sings the soul of the Bronx.
Me: I'm currently playing The Truth About Bullshit, what's that all about?
G: Its something that just developed organically as my friendship and working relationship with BS did. We started with one joint that we thought was gonna be for a mixtape, then before too long, we knew we had to give this project the focus it deserved. So we started debates. Challenged each others paradigms, and evolved with the music.
Me: Is this your first release?
G: It's my second release, the first one was The Karma Alarm Mixtape.
Me: What style would you say best describes your style?
Me: Can you tell us a little about it? Great track.
G: Sure. It's produced by Eric Biondo, Jordan Mclean and I. It's a meditation on self reliance. It's a good way to twist your tounge. Things of that nature.
Me: I notice Antibalas is in this track whats your association w/ Antibalas?
G: The two producers are in Antibalas and so is the guitarist Luke Riverside. They are Afrobeat kings. So I look up to them and I dance when they play live.
Me: Nice... Very uplifting sound. Is this what you grew up on?
G: The Chimbre Shamanic Retreat Center outside Puerto Maldanado in the Peruvian Amazon was having an open arts submission contest.
No bubbler. Not till sunset.
Me: Haha...
So this was online submission?
G: I sent them the single off TABS. Which is cosmic surfing. Exactly.
Me: How did you find this? A dope song by the way.
G: I sent an email and twenty minutes later I heard big things back from the staff although the decision wasn't final for a couple weeks.
Me: Damn! That's word son!
G: I know about Chimbre cuz my better half was a cook there in the spring.
Me: Ahhh... I'm from Central America, I'm sure you had the time of your life... What did it entail?
G: Bet, I really did. I went first to the Amazon to drink sacred plant medicines. Then to Cuzco for a couple days. Then to Aguas Calientes for a couple days. One of which is the day of the Machu Pichu Jawn. (youtube.com/truthnowmusic)
Me: Ahhh so nice. Beautiful. That's quite the surprse trip... Cool, yeah I saw that.
G: Yeah I paid for the 2nd and third week, Chimbre had my back on all the airfare though.
Me: I bet, that's a once in a lifetime most never get.
G: Exponential love and compassion was gifted to me by ancient trees.
Me: Wow, you are blessed my man... It shows in your music I must say, you have a very clear visoin of what you want to say... A very valued trait for an mc.
G: Sound Chemistry Records is an experiment in independent music. Can't legally go any further into it then that. It's a home to some, it's family to others.
Me: Nice. Gotcha.
Movin' on.... What's coming in the future with G Truth?
G: Two big things in the works. The Prohibition EP with Dubble from CHI, and early next year a solo full length concept album executive produced by SriKala called: Lies My Teacher Told Me.
Me: Any weekly's or shows on the calendar you wanna mention?
G: I'm looking to expand on successes and deny myself the learning experience we call failure.
Me: Haha...
G: Saturday in Bethlehem PA at the Wild Flower with Technicolor Lenses and Steve Fox. And helping shape the second coming of XANAPOLS with Adi Love details: T.B.A.
Me: You are a motivated artist.... I wanna thank you for the interview. Thanks for letting us kids in MPLS know what's up!
G: Be your own bullhorn, harness your inner megaphone, release the control system from your life, thank the Bilderberg Group for showing us everything we must never become.
Me: Word up to that! Look out for this kid in the future and I will post your links on my blog...

yeah
that features my boy geordie laforge
we have been friends since like 6th grade
he came up with the concept for that track
it's like we seem to always be waiting for a phone call of some sort
JP- yea at first listen i thought it was bout a girl
stems-whether it Be the connect, your gf, your ride, a job, the break you've been craving for ,who is gonna put you on the map
so most likely not
JP-
after listening to it a few more times i caught that, its a pretty inspirational track...
the thought of every artist waiting patiently next to their phone to get "put put on"
comes to mind
I bet alot of artists can relate!
STEMS-
hell ya even though that is some what of a fallacy
nowadays...
we wanna believe opportunity is gonna come calling but only few are this lucky
JP_
did you make the beat?
STEMS-
its an older euro electro beat
I am new to production..my beats are more down tempo
fucks with the blues
JP-
yeah its a really great refreshing sound to hear a rap over techno
my friends dig it
STEMS-
hell ya, this is the way the game is shifting, but no body really spits over straight house and techno
That scene is huge over here in SF.
more than underground hip-hop
more than even gansta rap
Zilla has been wanting to do something like this for a long time
JP-do you have an album in the works right now..tell us about it..
STEMS-
so check it
We have an electro rap tape coming out later this fall
Called "The Mash-up"
Pretty much has a track for every hour of the night
waiting for your phone call
then a midnight flight
you shoot to space
you are in the nitelife
then you come down
and you have crash landed
I do most of the editing and mixing and we record in a home studio
JP-what do you use for equipment?
STEMS-
Protools 8 with just the mbox mini
macbook pro
m-audio oxygen 8
adk large diaphragm condenser
I also have some tracks featuring my boy on the guit
JP-rap battles, big in mpls. how bout in S.F.?
stems-
there is a cipher at san francisco state university
I never was into battles
but have been in many
I was never really into
The thing that most people out here get feeling hurt real quick
The thing that most people out here get feeling hurt real quick
I be checking grind time sometimes
they got some spitters
but i am more into off the top freestyle
not prewritten
JP-
MPLS is kinda known for its freestyle and battles.
what the claim to fame in the bay?
besides that grimey zion i sound?
stems-
you see things have gotten confusing ever since the golden age ended
bay area has been known for the independent hustle for sure
after mac dre got sacrificed to the game
Personally i have always paid respect to any one that is doing something productive
even if it ain't on my hype
i have always been a nonconformist
JP-who influence you in your city?
STEMS-
The biggest influence for me is the culture
it is so diverse over here
JP-last question ..whats coming down the pike for future projects or shows?...
stems-
i have alot of ideas
but as group let me tell you that we will be making an album
produced recorded and edit by taste nater
Me and my home girl are putting together a hip-show in berkley
that incorporated stems of wisdom and models that are wearing affordable and sexy outfits
JP-nice..we hope to hear lots more from you in the future and we will most def. await more dope tracks from "STEMS OF WISDOM" anddj mindcontrol aka mk ultra!
STEMS-hell ya those slaps make it easy to write my thoughts
JP-
haha! thanks homie
any shouts
?
stems-
all my fam bam brother laforge, swoll cat, ani carla, polar bear, truth seekers, and knowledge droppers,
